Hi! Thanks for coming to check out my work! I'm Jamie Macpherson. I've been drawing and painting all my life and tattooing since 1999. I am currently tattooing in Burnaby, BC Canada at the famous Dutchman Tattoos.
The tattoo world has allowed me to make art as a living and taught me so much about culture and art history. It has also allowed me to travel around the world and work with lots of like minded artists, mentors and meet some of the world's best tattooers.
I mostly focus on large scale custom works, focusing on getting exactly what the client wants and coming up with the strongest artistic arrangement of those elements. I usually sketch up a preliminary thumbnail design before tackling the finished design so that I can collaborate more easily with my clients, after all I am offering you a service, not a product.
I love my work and my goal is to make sure everyone leaves my shop with a smile. I happily offer a free consultation, and look forward to meeting you!

Some older Tattoos by Jamie Macpherson


 Finally I got an opportunity to revisit my roots as a comic artist!!! This was one of the funnest tattoos I've ever done! We divided it into 2 sessions, one for the outline and another for the colour.  He wants to extend it with comic panels of all the arch nemisises of the super heroes!


 Been doing tons of watercolour paintings lately. I love fantasy style stuff, dragons, mythological creatures. I also have prints of these for sale for 20 bucks each.
Very fun dragon protecting his orbs.  2 hours.

This was a collaberation between me and Illsynapse from Nagoya, Japan.  He did the outline and i shaded it in.  Super fun!


This is a koi done in a more traditional style. took about 4 hours in one session.

 Ladybird.  Wish i had more clients who wanted this kind of weird stuff.  So super fun to design and tattoo!

Panther cover up.  There was a wimpy kitty cat under this.

portrait of his kids.  it was funny because they were watching me tattoo this, and i could look up at them for reference.


Can't remember the name of the artist who designed this, but it's all based on his book illustrations.
